Who I Am as a Creator...
Trained as a contemporary artist, I place a particular emphasis on creating work that ‘does’, believing that art should be inclusive to everyone and have a wider reach than simply four white walls inside a gallery space. My work aims to impact an audience through participation or other engagement with the work, provoking questions, emotion and self reflection within the audience.

The subject matter that dominates my work is often ‘the social’, taking an interest in the nature of relationships and social experiences in today’s world; Particularly looking at social embarrassment theory and cringe factor. These themes are drawn from my wider interest in how mood and emotions are conveyed and impacted upon an audience in an artwork.
Art Psychotherapy Statement...
Rather than viewing art as something purely aesthetic, I am someone who believes in the functionality of artwork, therefore I am invested in the therapeutic potential that creating, participating in, or viewing an artwork can have.

Disclaimer: This document is an entirely theoretical plan for an 'alternative audio walk' art workshop, based in Lincoln, UK for volunteer participants. It does not solely represent the type of art group workshop I intend to create, but aims to show the consideration and planning I undertake for my future workshps.
